Interview with Konstantin Rybak : Frank Scott: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?. Konstantin Rybak : To act - to art! .Frank Scott: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?. Konstantin Rybak : I'd like to do design between art and wearable fashion things. I'd like to remain people, that they usually forgot about beauty of our world and human creations. .Frank Scott: What are your future plans for this award winning design?. Konstantin Rybak : It will be the new page of our history. I will go farther. I would like to create next collection more nature-friendly. I'd like to move in this direction and I already have an idea how to do that. .Frank Scott: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?. Konstantin Rybak : About 1 month for research, half a year to create proper forms for each bag and 2 months more for production. .Frank Scott: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?. Konstantin Rybak : I'm exploring the world around me, questioning everything and then expressing the answers in the art. I'm inspired by the life how it is with all the cyclic recurrence, transformations, which are involved into its global stream. The idea of ARXI collection: The wholeness of n atural form indicates that the form and forces are always in some sense of equilibrium. Seashells for instance are one of the natural forms whose functions are simple enough to be approximated by a simple mathematical relationship. Natural forms and curves are applicable to human architectures. Baroque architecture inspiration where regular designs gave way to curves, dramatic shapes and decoration was transferred to sculptural leather Kofta pieces to evoke sensual delight.. .Frank Scott: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?. Konstantin Rybak : I create Kofta design myself and have my own production. I never use any other company to create Kofta design. And I never sell my design to any other company. Usually I do some collaborations. .Frank Scott: What made you design this particular type of work?. Konstantin Rybak : It is my idea, my mind and universe)) .Frank Scott: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?. Konstantin Rybak : I never ask any other person to create design for Kofta. .Frank Scott: Who is the target customer for his design?. Konstantin Rybak : It is people who understand art and interested in fashion. Usually, it is some IT-persons, TV and music stars, bloggers. .Frank Scott: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?. Konstantin Rybak : I think it is the unique approach to idea implementation. .Frank Scott: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?. Konstantin Rybak : ARXI - architecture, in Russian ARXI means - Supreme. .Frank Scott: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?. Konstantin Rybak : I'm drawing, work with sculpture. .Frank Scott: What is the most unique aspect of your design?. Konstantin Rybak : It is idea, forms and quality. .Frank Scott: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?. Konstantin Rybak : I have sculptor who usually helps me to create proper form. .Frank Scott: What is the role of technology in this particular design?. Konstantin Rybak : I implemented in creative process ARXI collection 3D printing and laser cutting. All other things made by hand. .Frank Scott: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?. Konstantin Rybak : No, it is just my idea. .Frank Scott: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?. Konstantin Rybak : Every day, but I usually solve it successfully. .Frank Scott: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?. Konstantin Rybak : I think I will help me in promotion of my brand. .Frank Scott: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?. Konstantin Rybak : I read a lot of books about architecture, Baroko, ornaments. I travelling a lot to get the inspiration. .
